Volunteer Management Executive

The Volunteer Management Executive is primarily responsible for engaging and managing HealthServe’s community of volunteers, interns, and supporters.


  • Support in the development and execution of HealthServe’s integrated communications & marketing strategies and associated work plans aimed at engaging the HealthServe community which includes our volunteers
  • Support in conceptualising, implementing, optimising and reporting marketing & engagement efforts and/ or campaigns (e.g. volunteer recruitment)
  • Work closely with various teams (i.e. medical, mental health, casework) to understand and address their priorities and needs through communications & engagement across channels as well as volunteer training and scheduling
  • Support the Volunteer Manager in onboarding, coordinating, and/ or engaging volunteers in their volunteering activities
  • Respond to queries relating to all-volunteer matters in a timely fashion
  • Build good rapport with and develop a good knowledge of our volunteers
  • Maintain and update communications & engagement-related data, materials, and collaterals e.g. database, application forms, policies, and procedures, volunteer/ intern handbook
  • Lead communications & engagement-related events e.g. volunteer appreciation events
  • Conduct and evaluate market research/ user engagement surveys/ partner analysis to draw insights and recommendations that would guide our strategies

Requirements/ Skills

  • Effective and versatile verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills; enjoys engaging volunteers and is comfortable interacting with people from different cultures and religions
  • Able to multi-task and work well with a diverse group of professionals from the public and private sectors as well as volunteers, donors, and beneficiaries
  • Experience with volunteer management and/ or in the social sector preferred
  • Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Event coordination and management experience (physical and digital events) is a plus
  • Willing and able to be present for certain volunteering sessions (evenings), and support in times of urgent need
  • Organised and detailed-oriented, yet able to think big-picture
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, strong team player with good cross-organisational collaborative skills
