Office Manager

Office Manager Responsibilities:

  • Handles inventory and ordering of office supplies, pantry items, and other items and services which are necessary for office operations
  • Implements safety procedures, including establishing evacuation plans, setting up building security, etc
  • Assists with initiatives related to organisational culture and employee wellness
  • Interfaces with clients, vendors, building management, and employees on a regular basis
  • Maintains office equipment and troubleshoots when necessary
  • Assist with office projects, such as renovations, installations, and office design initiatives
  • Fields main office calls and email
  • Collaborates across departments to help plan meetings and events
  • Creates and presents reports as requested 
  • Provides as-needed support (scheduling, planning, etc) to management
  • Trains and orients new employees and assists with onboarding and off-boarding, which includes maintenance of corporate email accounts
  • Supports Board Management
  • Attends meetings with senior management
  • Assists the organisation’s HR and Finance functions by keeping personnel records up to date, arranging interviews and updating financial documents, organising meetings and managing databases

Office Manager Skills:

  • Uses emotional intelligence (EQ) to address human-driven office complications
  • Takes initiatives in solving problems and improving processes
  • Communicates effectively
  • Works independently and able to adapt to changing demands and responsibilities
  • Organized and manages time strategically
  • Guides projects and workflows from initiation to completion

Office Manager Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.)
  • 1-2 years related experience
  •  Good command of Microsoft Office Suite
