আমরা সার্বিকভাবে সমস্যা নিরসনে এগিয়ে যাই।

Through our medical clinics, casework, social assistance, advocacy, research and outreach programmes, we are working to address the complex and intertwined needs of migrant workers – from medical to legal, physical to emotional, mental to social.

Since 2007, we have helped thousands of migrant workers.

Building capacity; building community.

We're so heartened by the active participation of the
Singapore Ministry of Manpower's Forward Assurance and Support Teams (FAST) officers in our first Psychological First Aid Training with them! The energy and enthusiasm displayed were infectious 🙂

Deployed to support dorm operators in caring for migrant workers, “FAST” teams play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing of our migrant brothers.

Even in today’s endemic phase of COVID-19, mental health remains a key area of focus that will require continual improvement and adjustment. And we plan to continue addressing this one training workshop at a time - be it for our migrant friends, their employers or our partners!

3 health screening events, 2 weekends, some 1,700 migrant brothers reached! 🙌 🙌

We are immensely grateful for the support of our volunteers and partners who share our belief in the importance of preventive care. Thanks to our generous partners who contribute in different ways – no two health screenings are the same!

In April, we had @satacommhealth introducing diabetic foot screening for our migrant brothers, as they taught about pain management and stretching exercises.

The instant photo booth at the two health carnivals held on Labour Day, well supported by our friends from @lighthouseclubsg, was a hit with the migrant workers! 😎 Our volunteers also had the chance to taste the same meals typically prepared for dorm-dwelling workers by Tee Up Dormitory Pte Ltd.

Care packs for workers consisting of goodies from fruits and healthy snacks to wireless earphones were also snapped up in no time!

Thank you Aespada Technologies Pte Ltd, Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, @jpmorgan, @mottmacgroup and MyBrotherSG for supporting our cause 😉

Yet another successful Peer Support Leader (PSL) training completed for our migrant brothers, with our migrant brothers!

We’ve been very encouraged to see our participants’ enthusiasm and interest in learning about mental wellness – we even had a few certified PSLs returning on a weekend to support their peers!

This is the first training cycle we have run with Altrad Services – and we’re not stopping there. The continuous support of like-minded employers is vital to our mission of empowering our migrant friends in taking charge of their health.

Interested to partner HealthServe in educating your migrant employees on mental health as well? Get in touch with us at mentalhealth@healthserve.org.sg!

“How can we make migrant workers less lonely in Singapore?”

This was one of the many thought-provoking questions we received from Zhenghua Primary School students after an online storytelling session where we introduced them to the migrant worker community in Singapore.

The questions they asked, while seemingly simple and innocent, demonstrated their compassion for a marginalised community from a tender age. This empathy was also reflected in a subsequent engagement activity where students had the opportunity to distribute donations to some workers in the Bukit Panjang community, and also get to know them better through interviews and games.

As a society, can we do more to befriend the many migrant workers in our midst and have them feel a little more at home, while away from home?

Happy Labour Day to all our migrant friends in Singapore!

Thank you for contributing to Singapore through your efforts, from building our homes to working tough jobs in different industries.

We've got some young supporters from Zhenghua Primary School who wish to show their appreciation to the migrant workers in our midst. Check out their heartwarming handwritten notes!

Good company + good fun = even better friendships forged!

From art and terrarium making to badminton and other traditional games, we recently hosted our migrant friends and students from @captnus and @queenswaysecondary for two days of joy and laughter at our Geylang space!

HealthServe is glad to be supporting CAPTSLAM, a youth mentorship programme that strives to uplift disadvantaged communities. We’re especially heartened to see more youths stepping out of their comfort zones to befriend and engage our migrant worker community in Singapore.

Together, let us shape a society where no migrant worker gets left behind.

A WORLD TOGETHER

“A World Together” is a music video project in collaboration with Voices of Singapore. It features a 180-strong virtual choir of children, healthcare professionals and the HealthServe team singing, as well as interviews with our migrant friends from various industries.

THE SOLIDARITY WALL

Stand together with our migrant friends to help each other through this time by sharing a message of encouragement and hope in videos, pictures or words.

Sometimes hearing what others are going through and listening or reading words of encouragement can give you strength to fight through another day. That’s why we’ve started the Solidarity Wall where you can read and post encouraging messages and tips to each other during this time.

RESOURCES FOR MIGRANTS

Monday 13th April: To support ongoing efforts to help educate migrant workers and provide remote counselling and casework support, HealthServe launched a hotline and website in Tamil, Bengali, Chinese and English. The public can also use the hotline to submit messages of encouragement which may be published on our upcoming Solidarity Wall.
