HealthServe Announcement for Malaysian and Indonesian Work Permit Holders

It has been brought to our attention that there seems to be an increasing number of Malaysian workers coming to pharmacies for refills of Chronic medication. Though the pharmacies are able to help with Pharmacy medicines and refer them to neighbouring GPs/polyclinic for refills of Prescription Only Medicines (POM) there are some who find the cost of refilling their medication to be unaffordable as they have to pay an unsubsidised foreigner fee to receive help at GPs in Singapore.

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that low wage migrant workers in Singapore receive adequate healthcare support, HealthServe will be extending our services at our Geylang Clinic to Malaysian and Indonesian Work Permit holders who:

1. Suffer from Chronic conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol) and meet the following criteria:

·        Employer does not provide adequate medical coverage

·        Does not have enough supply of Chronic medication to last for the Movement Control Order (MCO) period or for the month of April.

Consultation and medications (if needed) will be charged at our normal rate of $8. If medications are required for their chronic condition, we will prescribe for a short term period of 2 to 4 weeks.

2. Need Dental services for urgent/emergency dental issues during this period of MCO and month of April. We will charge our nominal rate of $15 which includes consultation, treatment and medication (if any).

Appointments have to be made in advance for any of the above services.

Appointments can be made by whatsapp/sms/call on our clinic line (9487 1377) – the line is open during daytime hours from Tuesday to Saturday. We may request information on current medications.

Please note:

  • We may not be able to provide the exact medications currently prescribed and may recommend alternatives in our drug formulary.

  • We will require you to bring your Work Permit card/IPA letter as proof of your status on the day of your appointment.

  • HealthServe’s Clinic is in Geylang and operates on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 6.30 – 9.30pm.

  • Urgent or emergency dental cases are those who have swelling or consistent pain in their mouth/gums.
