HealthServe is collaborating with award-winning theatre company Pangdemonium to host the play DRAGONFLIES on Thursday 24 May 2018 at Victoria Theatre to raise funds for HealthServe and to advocate for the migrant worker community.
DRAGONFLIES tells the story of university lecturer Leslie Chen who is forced to abandon his home and life in post-Brexit England and to move his family back to his birthplace, Singapore. The play deals with the themes of immigration, displacement, xenophobia and racial prejudices. It is also a poignant tale of love, compassion, family and common humanity, giving us hope for the future. First performed at the Singapore International Festival of Arts 2017 to wide acclaim, the play is directed by Tracie Pang and stars Adrian Pang and Tan Kheng Hua. It has garnered 8 Life! Theatre Award nominations, including for Production of the Year, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Original Script.
There will be a pre-show cocktail reception at Italian restaurant Foo'd at Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.
We are raising funds through sponsorship for the event. Donations packages are eligible for 250% tax deduction. $500 donations include 1 category 1 seat and $300 donations include 1 category 2 seat.
